The Tea Industry - A Statistical Overview

The Tea Times

What's brewing where and how -

Mazedar March

An extremely lucrative scheme to motivate all Duncans KDs to clear their dues by March `99, and with mega margins in the process! To top it all there was a lucky draw, the ten lucky winners of which earned extra bonus margins on their March purchases over and above their Mazedar March margins! This never before scheme was flagged off by a mailer from Mr.K.P. Sihna, Assistant Vice- President (Sales).

GO2K - The millennium momentum

A classy stylized booklet announced this on going system of rewards and incentives for high-powered performances at different level of the elite Duncan’s field corps. This 6 quarter scheme aimed at ABMs, TSIs, ADOs, SEs, and SPs, included a prefixed base incentive, additional incentive for every 1% achievement above targets set, and other incentives for meeting brand, distribution and collection targets for each quarter.

The downside was the penalty levied for falling short of the targets. Over and above incentives, the earnings of each quarter was carried over to the next and 10% of the cumulative incentive added to the earnings of the next quarter as Jump Ahead Bonus (JAB). This actually allowed the total incentive to multiply! At the end of the 6 quarter period, a total incentive package of Rs. 1.42 lac for SPs to Rs. 2.62 lac for ABMs was waiting to be won! The icing on the cake was the recognition of the best achievers among the field force as the Millenium Stars - The

  • Millenium Business Manager,

  • Millenium Sales Executive,

  • Millenium Sales In-charge and

  • Millenium Sales Prometer,
